Our company is one of the oldest continuously operating distribution firms in the country. Founded in 1900 as Leonard&Company, we provided specialty products to the precious metals and jewelry industries for over 50 years.
In 1955, the company was purchased from the Leonard family by Harold Ray Sr. who shifted its marketing focus in a new and innovative direction. Recognizing that little was being done to protect the worker from hazards in the workplace, Mr Ray embarked on a journey to raise awareness of workplace safety issues. We became a pioneer in providing safety products to industry long before there was a general awareness of the need for accepted procedures and product standards. In 1970, the Occupational Safety and Health Act (OSHA) was enacted, bringing with it the continually evolving safety regulations, procedures and product standards that protect the worker today.
Now, in the third generation of the Ray family ownership, we continue to provide innovative quality safety products in today's ever changing safety field.
